What I enjoyed most about this book was the gentle, Christ-centered message about purpose and trusting God. The meaningful mockingbird metaphor makes big ideas easy for children to understand. The moment when the little mockingbird sits quietly and listens to the voice of the Creator really stood out. The illustrations beautifully capture peace, reassurance, and God’s nearness, and it sparked meaningful reflection about trusting Him even in hard seasons. {What Was I Made For? is} a gentle, faith-filled picture book that helps children understand purpose, waiting, and trusting God when things don’t go as planned. Through beautiful illustrations and the story of a little mockingbird, it reminds readers that God is near, loving, and has a good plan— even in hard seasons.

I love the message! We all want and need a purpose for living. Sometimes, when our lives aren’t turning out exactly how we had planned, we start to doubt our purpose. This wonderful book helps us remember we all have a purpose! I love the moment when {the little Mockingbird} realizes the Creator still has amazing plans for her life! I am very excited about this book and can’t wait to read it to my grandchildren!

{What Was I Made For? is} a helpful and engaging resource to teach children about their true identity and purpose. Through beautiful illustrations and a heart warming story, children will learn that their purpose is not defined simply by what happens to them. So grateful for this resource as a parent of young children.
